Karmen graduated in Economics specializing in International Exchange at the University of Rijeka, Croatia and obtained an Internal Auditor Certification from The Institute of Croatian Internal Auditors (CIA certification).

She subsequently gained an Executive Master in Corporate Finance and Banking at SDA Bocconi – School of Management, where she further deepened her knowledge by following numerous programs related to the hotel sector and Development & Asset Management.

She began her career in the Finance & Accounting sector as a Consultant for Croatian and foreign companies and entrepreneurs.

However, her professional career has fully developed in the hotel tourism industry, where for more than 15 years she has held important roles in a leading company in Croatia that is part of the Unicredit group, partly managed by Melia hotels International.

Since 2018 she is an External Speaker for the University of Opatija, Croatia.

With her analytical and rigorous approach, she always finds effective solutions through logic and creativity.
